Nyx Ultimate Brights Palette

I'd like to start off on a positive note, so I will tell you a bit about a personal favourite of mine. The Nyx Ultimate palette in "Brights" is my go-to for any bright or colourful eyeshadow look.
This palette is sold for $18 USD on the Nyx website and comes in 4 different colour combinations, but I just want to discuss this one, "Brights."
Considering the comparatively low price point (16 shadows makes it $1.13 per eyeshadow) and large variety of shades, this palette is a necessity for me.
I cannot go an entire week without throwing on a bold eyeshadow, and this makes it so much easier!
The shades are soft and quite pigmented, and most of them are matte. There are a few shades with small specks of glitter in them, but those seem to disappear with only the tiniest bit of blending. They blend out well enough, especially over a primed lid set with a light shadow or powder. The shadows look beautiful applied with a brush, with a finger, wet or dry, there isn't much you can't do with them! If only this palette had a light shade and a transition shade, it would be all I need for dozens of looks!
The only shade I had trouble with was the purple/fuscia shade on the second row down, second column from the left. It has almost no pigmentation. I thought maybe it just needed to be wetted to get the full effect, but wetting the shadow did not even bring the pigmentation up to the levels all the other shades had while they were dry!
It looks so lovely in the pan, so I was quite disappointed. But that is often how palettes are, and so despite my dislike of one of the shades, I would definitely say that this palette is worth it.
It comes in three other shades, if you prefer more natural tones, which I look forward to trying, as well.
Eight out of ten stars
